The "Settings" tab allows you to configure CloudpilotEmu.

# Emulation

:::div{.feature-run-hidden}
### Run when hidden

Keep CloudpilotEmu running when the browser tab is hidden.
:::

### Emulate D-Pad

Disable this to replace the D-Pad with simple up / down zones on OS5
devices that support full 5-way navigation. This enlarges the respective touch
areas and makes them easier to control on mobile devices.

# Host integration

:::div{.feature-clipboard-integration}
### Clipboard integration

This turns on clipboard integration.
:::

### Network redirection

:::div{.feature-native-network}
CloudpilotEmu can connect the virtual PalmOS device to the network.

If you set "Redirection method" to "Native", CloudpilotEmu will connect PalmOS
directly to your network.

If you set "Redirection method" to "Proxy", CloudpilotEmu will connect to the
network using a proxy server, the address of which you'll have to enter the address below.
Use the "Test" button to test the connection before attempting to
connect from within the virtual device. Please check the
[online documentation](https://github.com/cloudpilot-emu/cloudpilot-emu/blob/master/doc/networking.md)
for detailed instructions on setting up the proxy.

a proxy server. This configuration supports network hotsync. Please check the
[online documentation](https://github.com/cloudpilot-emu/cloudpilot-emu/blob/master/doc/networking.md)
for detailed instructions.

If you enable network redirection you'll have to enter the address of the proxy
server below. Use the "Test" button to test the connection before attempting to

# User interface

### Auto-lock UI

This setting causes the navigation to automatically hide when the emulated devices
launches on startup.

:::div{.feature-dynamic-font-size}
### Fixed font size

Enable this to ignore the font size configured in your mobile device settings.
:::

### Show Statistics

Overlay the grafitti area with a collection of performance statistics.

### Open from remote sources

Enabling this will allow you to load ROMs, session images and install files
from remote URLs. Please note that those will have to be served via HTTPS
(unless you are hosting CloudpilotEmu yourself via HTTP), and the file server
has to support CORS.

:::div{.feature-channel-management}
### Run preview version

Run the preview version of CloudpilotEmu. The preview version receives more updates
but should be considered less stable as it acts as a testbed for changes and fatures.

The preview and stable version store data separately from each other, and you
can switch between them at any time.

:::div{.feature-ios}
# Interface quirks

The following options are workarounds for specific browser bugs.
:::

:::div{.feature-ios}
### Don't restrict file picker

CloudpilotEmu restricts the file picker to local files. Some old versions
of Safari do not correctly interpret this and don't allow some file types to be
opened. This option disables this restriction, at the price of an additional
media type picker that opens when loading files.

:::div{.feature-indicator-fix}
### Fix iOS home indicator

Safari on iOS has a glitch that may display the home indicator (the white-ish bar
at the bottom of the screen) on top of the UI instead below it. Whether you are
affected depends on how the toolbar is configured in the Safari settings. This
cannot be detected, but you can change this setting in order to work around
the issue if you are affected.
